In 2008 the Parliament of the Netherlands Antilles was celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Parliament. For this occasion they wanted a poster to announce the celebration on all the 5 islands of the Netherlands Antilles. They wanted something different and decided to ask the artist Tirzo Martha to design the poster. The artist first designed an artwork that symbolizes the 5 islands of the Netherlands Antilles.
With this artwork as central point the artist made a design for the poster.
The artwork is an assemblage of 5 stainless steel spoons rising out of the blue water.
